How to make a referral for students in crisis:

If a student is an immediate threat to self or others, call Campus Police at 801.422.2222.

If a student is in immediate need of assistance from a mental health counselor, please walk the student directly to our office (1500 WSC) at any time during the typical work day, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and one of our counselors will meet with you and/or the student.

If the student needing urgent assistance is willing and able to walk to CAPS on their own, they can receive an immediate 'crisis' appointment with one of our counselors. Our regularly scheduled walk-in services are available from 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
